Max Hebditch, born on August 22, 1937, is a notable English museum director, having served as the Director of the Museum of London from 1977 to 1997. His early career included roles as the first Field Archaeologist of Leicester Museum service and as Assistant Curator of Archaeology at Bristol Museum. In addition to his directorial positions, he was the president of the UK Museums Association and played a significant role in the London and Middlesex Archaeological Society. Following his retirement, he took on honorary curatorial duties at the Philpot Museum.
