Matti Jaakko Pohjola (January 4, 1963 – May 30, 2002) was a Finnish cellist from a prominent musical family. He was the son of choral conductor Erkki Pohjola and was known for his performances with the group Avant. His brother, Seppo Pohjola, composed a piece in his memory titled 'Hommage à Schubert', which was recorded by the Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat. Matti was part of a well-known musical lineage, with relatives including notable musicians and conductors. He is buried at the Gräsan urn cemetery in Espoo.
