Matsutarō Yata (December 16, 1928 - December 26, 2016) was a Japanese businessman and politician during the Showa and Heisei periods. He served as the mayor of Kaga City, held the position of chairman of Katayamazu Kanko, president of Hokuriku Kanko Development, and chairman of the Katayamazu Tourism Association. He was also the director of the Ishikawa Prefectural Ryokan Environment Sanitation Association, director of Kaga Credit Union, and vice president of the Japan Spa Association. His father was also a former mayor of Kaga City.
