Matjaž Mikoš is a Slovenian civil engineer and hydrologist, most notably a full professor of engineering hydraulics and hydrology at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering at the University of Ljubljana. He holds a doctorate in technical sciences from ETH Zurich. Mikoš is a regular member of the Engineering Academy of Slovenia and the New York Academy of Sciences. Born on December 6, 1959, in Ljubljana, he has contributed significantly to the fields of hydraulic engineering and hydrology through his academic and professional work.
