Masaya Itō (November 21, 1917 - December 13, 2002) was a Japanese political commentator born in Manchukuo. He served as a secretary for Prime Minister Hayato Ikeda and was active in political forums and the Koike faction, known for his influential commentary on politics. He was colloquially referred to as 'Buu-chan' and was dubbed the shadow Chief Cabinet Secretary during Ikeda's administration.
