Masakatsu Morita (森田 必勝) was a Japanese political activist born on July 25, 1945, who, along with writer Yukio Mishima, committed ritual suicide known as seppuku in Tokyo on November 25, 1970. After losing his parents at a young age, he was raised by his brother. He became politically active in university, joining a right-wing faction and later the Tatenaokai organization founded by Mishima. Morita participated in a plan that led to their deaths, attempting to behead Mishima during their last act, ultimately performing seppuku himself.
