Maruša Bradač is a Slovenian astrophysicist born on January 9, 1978, in Maribor. She works as a physics professor at the University of California, Davis. Her research focuses on dark matter, and she leads an international research group that discovered the darkest known galaxy in 2016, as well as one of the oldest galaxies, MACS1423-z7p64, in 2017. In 2023, she received the honorary title of Science Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia for enhancing the reputation of Slovenian astrophysics internationally.
