Prachař played in various national leagues, including those of the Czech Republic, Spain, and Romania. He played 42 matches for the Czech national team. After a season with the Danish club TM Tønder Håndbold, he joined Swiss club BSV Bern Muri in 2011 and later moved to HSC Suhr Aarau, where he retired in 2019.
