Martin Mansell, born on December 13, 1960, is a former Paralympic athlete from Great Britain, known for his achievements in swimming. He competed in the 1984 and 1988 Summer Paralympics, winning a total of three gold medals, primarily in backstroke events and a relay race. Beyond his sports career, Mansell contributed significantly to the support and development of disabled athletes by becoming one of the first Professional Sports Development Officers. He also chaired the initial Athletes Committee for the British Paralympic Association from 1989 to 1996.
