Martin Harrison (1935-1992) was a British archaeologist and a professor of Roman archaeology at the University of Oxford. He is best known for his excavation of the remains of the Church of St. Polyeuctus in Constantinople, which was the first major stratigraphic excavation conducted in Istanbul. This work significantly enhanced the archaeological understanding of the Byzantine Empire's capital.
