Martin Bigum, born on October 8, 1966, in Frederiksberg, is a Danish self-taught multimedia artist best known for his work as a visual artist. He gained prominence in the mid-1990s for the character ART, a cloaked figure featured in many of his paintings from 1992 to 1999. Bigum was a regular panelist on DR K's Kunstquiz hosted by Adrian Hughes. He is considered one of the most distinctive visual artists of his generation.
