Marko Topič is a Slovenian electrical engineer born on July 8, 1967, in Ljubljana. He obtained his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Ljubljana in 1996. Since 2006, he has been a full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana, teaching electronics, optoelectronics, and photovoltaics. He is the founder and head of the Laboratory for Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics and has held various leadership positions, including head of the Department of Electronics and Dean of the Faculty since 2023. His research focuses on photovoltaics, optoelectronics, and numerical modeling.
