Marko Ivan Rupnik (born November 28, 1954) is a Slovenian Jesuit priest, artist, theologian, and writer recognized for his mosaic works in various churches. He has been referred to as the Michelangelo of the 21st century due to his artistic contributions. His notable projects include works at the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the Church of San Giovanni Rotondo, the sanctuaries of Fatima and Lourdes, Almudena Cathedral in Madrid, and several other significant religious sites in Spain and Slovenia.
