Purho organizes the annual Kouvola Magic Days, attracting around 200 magicians. He served as secretary and chairman of the Finnish Magic Circle, won national awards for joke telling, and was recognized as the entertainer of the year. In 2006, he was named the tenth Markku of the year. Additionally, he operates an online magic shop.
