Mark Andrew Pontius, born on January 3, 1985, is an American musician renowned for being a founding member and drummer of the alt pop band Foster the People. He was active with the band until 2021. Before his time with Foster the People, which he joined in 2009, Pontius played in the indie pop band Malbec, which has since disbanded.
