Charles Randolph Mark Ogilvie-Grant was a British diplomat and botanist born on March 15, 1905. He was known as one of the earliest members of the 'Bright Young Things', a term which referred to a group of young, wealthy socialites in Britain during the 1920s. Despite his seemingly frivolous beginnings in social circles, Ogilvie-Grant distinguished himself as a hero during the Greek campaign in 1940-1941.
