Known for his expertise in public and digital diplomacy, he is recognized as an 'unconventional diplomat' and an advocate for LGBTIQ rights. After leaving the foreign service in 2016, he led International IDEA's Myanmar office, providing training on constitutional issues. In 2020, he became the Country Representative for the Asia Foundation.
