Mark Thomas McCloskey is a former personal injury lawyer from St. Louis, Missouri, who gained national notoriety in 2020 after he and his wife brandished firearms during a protest outside their home. Charged with unlawful weapon use, they pled guilty to misdemeanors and were pardoned by the governor. In February 2022, McCloskey's law license was indefinitely suspended but stayed during his probation. He ran for the U.S. Senate in Missouri in 2022 but lost the Republican primary to Eric Schmitt.
