Marjorie Steele (August 27, 1930 – January 20, 2018) was an Irish actress and sculptor. She began her acting career in Hollywood as a teenager, working as a cigarette girl at Ciro's nightclub on Sunset Boulevard. There she met Huntington Hartford, co-owner of A&P, who was also a film company owner. Hartford married Steele in 1949 and secured her an acting contract. She starred in four B-movies between 1949 and 1953 and made two guest appearances on television series. In 1954, she starred in a production of Sabrina Fair in London, and in 1956 she made her Broadway debut in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, taking over the lead role from Barbara Bel Geddes. The performing theatre belonged to her husband. She had two children with Hartford, but their marriage ended in 1961. Two years later, she married British actor Dudley Sutton, and they had one child. Their marriage lasted two years. In 1967, she married Irish writer Constantine Fitzgibbon. The marriage lasted until his death in 1983. She also became an Irish citizen.
