Marit Myrvoll is a Sami social anthropologist and researcher at the Sámi Norwegian National Advisory Unit on Mental Health and Substance Use in Northern Norway. She is the project leader for the SANAG/SANKS project 'Violence and Abuse in Sami Societies' from 2020 to 2022 and headed the Sami Research Programme at the Research Council of Norway from 2017 to 2021. In addition to her research work, Myrvoll is a duojar, or Sami handicrafter, and serves on the Norwegian Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
