Marit Langfeldt Ege, born May 15, 1952, served as the chief municipal officer in Bærum from July 1, 2008, to August 15, 2012. She is a trained nurse with additional education in economics and management. Since starting her career in Oslo municipality in 1979, she has held several leadership roles, including director of various districts and acting director for emergency medical services. Ege was also a member of the Control Commission for Gaustad Hospital from 1983 to 1997 and is the sister of psychologist Thore Langfeldt.
