Sister Marion Beiter OSF, born Dorothy Katharine Beiter, was an American mathematician and educator known for her research in cyclotomic polynomials. She began her teaching career in 1925 and served as chairwoman of the mathematics department at Rosary Hill College from 1952 until her retirement in 1977. Beiter earned a PhD from the Catholic University of America in 1960, where she made significant contributions, including the Sister Beiter conjecture. She was born in Buffalo, New York, and passed away in 1982.
