Mario Santiago Papasquiaro, born José Alfredo Zendejas Pineda on December 24, 1953, in Mexico City, was a prominent Mexican poet. Despite producing a significant body of poetry, he published little during his lifetime. He co-founded the infrarrealist movement alongside Roberto Bolaño, which was characterized by its avant-garde approach to poetry and its challenge to literary norms in Mexico. Papasquiaro remains a key figure in contemporary Spanish-language literature.
