She is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, the Brazilian Society of Econometrics, and the Brazilian Mathematical Society. In 2003, she was elected as a fellow of the Econometric Society and became an honorary international member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2020.
