Marie Z. Chino (1907–1982) was a notable Native American potter from Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico. In the 1950s, she, along with Lucy M. Lewis and Jessie Garcia, were recognized as the most important Acoma potters. Together with Juana Leno, they formed 'The Four Matriarchs' who spearheaded the revival of ancient Acoma pottery styles. They drew inspiration from old potsherds for their designs and helped renew various ancient pottery forms like Mimbres and Tularosa, which influenced many other potters and innovated new styles.
