Marie-Claude Monchaux (1933-2021) was a French author and illustrator focused on children's literature. She led the Feux collection at Editions Sang de la Terre and attempted to establish a literary critique magazine, Liras-tu?, in 1987. This venture sought to continue discussions from her controversial book Écrits pour nuire, aimed at supporting parents. Although the magazine did not last, she continued her critiques in the publication Minute. She was also a contributor to Le Libre Journal de la France courtoise.
