A member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, she has been a researcher at Embrapa since 1982 and has been with Embrapa Soja since 1991. She teaches and supervises postgraduate studies in Microbiology and Biotechnology at the State University of Londrina, as well as in Bioinformatics at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná.
