María Giralt i Castells is a Catalan LGBTI and feminist activist born in Barcelona on August 22, 1958. She is the director of Gayles.tv, an online television platform for the LGBTI community. A prominent figure in LGBTI rights, she participated in the first Pride march in Barcelona in 1977 and co-founded the first lesbian collective in Spain. Giralt has launched various business projects aimed at the LGBTI community and serves as vice president of the Catalan Association of LGBTI Businesses (ACEGAL).
