María de Pablos Cerezo (November 8, 1904 - November 1, 1990) was a Spanish composer, pianist, and a pioneer as a conductor. She made history as the first woman to compete in a composition exam and won the first Conservatory Composition Prize at just 23 years old with her symphonic poem 'Castilla' and the religious piece 'Ave verum'. Like many women of the Generation of '27, she fell into obscurity until her biography was published by Mariano Gómez de Caso in 2016.
