Marguerite Young (August 26, 1908 – November 17, 1995) was an American novelist and academic best known for her novel 'Miss Macintosh, My Darling.' In her later years, she gained recognition for teaching creative writing and mentoring young authors. Revered as a literary figure, she was also a beloved eccentric in Greenwich Village. Throughout her lifetime, Young published two poetry books, two historical studies, a short story collection, a novel, and an essay collection.
