In 2003, she served as Writer in Residence at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Kreidl is also a member of the Austrian authors' association Grazer Autorenversammlung and currently resides in Vienna. Her works have been translated into Slovene, Bulgarian, and French.
