Margot Wikström (1936 – 4 September 2010) was a prominent Swedish politician known for her affiliation with the Social Democratic Party. In the 1970s, she made history as the first woman mayor of Umeå when she assumed the role in 1980. Aside from her local political contributions, she served as a leader in the Social Democratic party from 1990 to 2001. Additionally, she held the position of president of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities from 1995 to 1999, a body that engaged with Sweden's national legislature.
