He graduated in social sciences with a specialization in religious studies. He debuted in 1986 with the story 'Niewolnicy.' In the 1990s, he founded a publishing house for specialized magazines. After selling his shares, he returned to writing, contributing to various magazines. Żelkowski co-hosts 'Bibliotekarium,' a nominated radio show, and is a co-founder of the Bydgoszcz Artistic Association.
