Marcel Bergen was a Belgian Marxist politician who was affiliated with the Communist Party of Belgium. He served as the chairman of the Liège Federation of the Communist Party of Wallonia-Brussels. In the local elections of 2012, he was elected as a municipal councilor in Seraing and as a provincial councilor in Liège, running as a broadening candidate for PVDA+. Bergen continued to hold these positions until 2018. He was born on February 27, 1937, and passed away on June 24, 2023.
