Marc Vincent Sappington (born February 9, 1978) is an American spree killer and cannibal, known for murdering four acquaintances in Kansas City, Kansas, in 2001. He gained infamy for consuming part of a victim's leg. Lawyers attributed his actions to schizophrenia and PCP use, while Sappington claimed he heard voices urging him to commit cannibalism. He was convicted of three murders and an attempted aggravated robbery in 2004, with his conviction upheld by the Kansas Supreme Court in 2007. His confessions revealed gruesome details of his crimes, including the dismemberment of victims.
