Manmath Nath Gupta was an Indian Marxist revolutionary and writer known for his autobiographical, historical, and fictional works in Hindi, English, and Bengali. He joined the Indian independence movement at the age of 13, becoming an active member of the Hindustan Republican Association and participating in the Kakori train robbery in 1925. Serving 14 years in prison, he wrote extensively against British rule after his release. His notable works include 'They Lived Dangerously – Reminiscences of a Revolutionary.' He also edited the Hindi literary magazine 'Aajkal.'
