Manikavasagam Jegathesan, born on November 2, 1943, in Kuala Kangsar, is a former Malaysian sprinter. He competed in the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome and was eliminated in the heats of the 400m. Jegathesan excelled at the 1962 Asian Games, winning gold in the 200m and silver in the 100m. His Olympic journey continued in 1964 and 1968, reaching the quarter-finals in the 100m and semi-finals in the 200m. He is noted for his performances at several international competitions, including the British Empire and Commonwealth Games, and his brother Harichandra was also an athlete.
