Suri was awarded the Padma Shri in 1961 and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 1962 for his contributions to engineering sciences. His legacy includes the Padmashri Manmohan Suri Project Award at IIT Delhi, celebrating outstanding mechanical projects.
