Malene (Malla) Sofie Samuelsen, born 11 July 1909, was a pioneering Faroese politician and feminist. She made history as the first woman to serve in the Løgting, the parliament of the Faroe Islands, when she acted as a substitute in 1964. Malla was instrumental in founding the Faroese Women's Association (Kvinnufelagið), where she played a key role and frequently held the position of chair. Her contributions have significantly impacted women's representation in Faroese politics.
