Mal Washer is an Australian politician born on August 12, 1945, who served as a member of the Liberal Party in the House of Representatives since 1998, representing the electorate of Moore in Western Australia. He was born in Bunbury and graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1970 with a degree in medicine and surgery, later practicing as a general practitioner. Known as a moderate liberal, he supported social liberal causes, including same-sex marriage. From 2010 to 2011, he was a liaison for the Australian Parliamentary Group on Drug Law Reform.
