Edwin Mahiʻai Copp Beamer (1928–2017) was a renowned tenor falsetto singer, composer, and hula dancer of Hawaiian descent. Born in Honolulu, he was a prominent figure in preserving and promoting Hawaiian music and culture. A graduate of Kamehameha Schools, he was also educated at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Juilliard. Beamer received several awards, including induction into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame and recognition as a Living Treasure of Hawaii. He performed widely, including at Carnegie Hall, and was known for his performances of his grandmother's compositions.
