Mahesh Acharya is a prominent Nepalese politician who served as the Minister of Forest and Soil Conservation under Prime Minister Sushil Koirala. He was elected to the Nepalese Constituent Assembly in 2013 from the Morang–6 constituency as a member of the Nepali Congress. Active in politics since the panchayat era, Acharya participated in the anti-panchayat movement alongside notable leaders such as Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala and Girija Prasad Koirala.
