Magomed Dzhambulatov (December 25, 1925 - December 25, 2009) was a prominent veterinarian and academic. He earned a doctoral degree in veterinary sciences in 1967 and became a professor in 1968. Dzhambulatov served as the rector of the Dagestan Agricultural Institute for 38 years from 1960 to 1998. After its renaming, he held the position of president of the Dagestan State Agricultural Academy for an additional 10 years until 2009. He was also a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences from 1993.
