Magolo Cárdenas Rafael, born on December 28, 1950, in Saltillo, is a Mexican children's and youth literature writer, literature teacher, editor, cultural promoter, and illustrator. She founded the Museo del Desierto and directed the 3 Museos in Monterrey. Additionally, she headed the Institute of Anthropological Research and the Development and Cultural Heritage of Nuevo León. Cárdenas was also the director of the Hemeroteca and the coordinator at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Saltillo, and she created the Coahuilense Institute of Culture.
