Madosini, born Lathozi Mpahleni around December 25, 1943, was a traditional Xhosa music interpreter and storyteller in Mpondoland, South Africa. Influenced by her mother, she learned to make and play instruments such as the umrhubhe (bow), uhadi (musical bow), and sitolotolo (mouth harp). Her music was first recorded in 1974, and she released her own album in 1997. Madosini performed internationally, including Germany in 2007, and her song 'Wen'usegoli' featured in the 2004 film 'A Woman Named Yesterday'.
