Lydia Poser, born Orban, was a German politician associated with the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and later the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). Born on January 30, 1909, in Heidersbach, Kreis Suhl, she married KPD official Magnus Poser in September 1936. Magnus was an anti-fascist resistance fighter who was murdered in 1944. Lydia played a role in the political landscape of her time during a tumultuous period in Germany's history.
