Luis Hernández Yzal (1917-2002) was a pharmacist and the founder of the Hispana Esperanto-Muzeo (HEM) located in Sant Pau d'Ordal near Barcelona. He moved to Sant Pau d'Ordal in 1944 due to pharmacy regulations and became involved with Esperanto in 1963 after attending a congress. He collected Esperanto materials beginning in the late 1960s, leading to the establishment of a separate museum building. Hernández also contributed to the Esperanto community and collaborated on catalogues related to his collections.
