Luis Arias Argüelles-Meres (February 16, 1957 – January 20, 2021) was an Asturian professor and writer. He was an assistant professor of Language and Literature with a permanent position at the IES 'César Rodríguez' in Grau, Asturias. In 1992, he completed his research work for the Third Cycle on 'The Narrative Work of Azaña' and earned his doctorate under the guidance of Dr. Fernández Insuela. His doctoral thesis focused on 'Manuel Azaña and Literature: Critique and Literary Creation.'
