Ľudovít Lehen, also known as Ľudo Lehen, was a Slovak master of chess composition and a painter of the 20th century. Born on June 3, 1925, in Banská Bystrica, he drew inspiration from the motifs of Picasso and Modigliani, yet developed a distinct personal style. His deep admiration for feminine beauty was evident throughout his works, which included oil paintings, drawings, woodcuts, and marquetry. He is credited in Czechoslovakia with producing the first nude painting that was permitted for publication.
