Lucy Helmore, later known as Lucy Birley and Lucy Ferry, was an English model and photographer born on September 18, 1960, in Shropshire. She gained prominence as a model, photographed by notable artists like Steven Meisel and Robert Mapplethorpe, and was frequently listed among the most elegant women in Vogue magazine. She married musician Bryan Ferry in 1982, with whom she had four sons, and later married businessman Robin Birley in 2006. Helmore's photograph exhibition took place in London in 2011. She tragically died by suicide in Ireland on July 23, 2018.
